The Department of Midwifery, Reproductive Health, and Gender Studies at UMMA University is committed to advancing education, research, and community service in maternal and reproductive health, as well as gender equity. Our department offers specialized programs designed to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills:
Bachelor of Science in Midwifery
Diploma in Midwifery
Certificate in Reproductive Health
Gender Studies Courses integrated into health and social sciences curricula
Our curriculum covers antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care, family planning, sexual and reproductive health rights, gender-based violence, and community health education.
Students gain hands-on experience through clinical placements in hospitals, health centers, and community settings. We emphasize culturally competent care and community outreach to improve maternal and reproductive health outcomes.
